- Indians with a valid visa or residence permit from the US, UK, Canada, Japan, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, or the European Union can get a visa on arrival in the UAE. The visa will be valid for 14 days and can be extended for another 14 days.
- After the diversification in the investment policy and growth of different industries, the country has introduced 04 new visa categories, viz. AI specialist, entertainment, event, and maritime tourism visas.
- The minimum monthly salary to sponsor family members, extended family, and non-relatives has been revised. The revision applies to both new applications and renewals. The minimum required salaries for sponsorship are:
Sponsoring Family Members – AED 4,000 or AED 3,000+ company-provided accommodation
Sponsoring Extended Family – AED 8,000
Sponsoring Non-relatives – AED 15,000
- The applicant must submit the passport cover page along with the visa application. This is to verify and affirm the identity.
- The UAE Golden Visa, which has both 5-year and 10-year residency options, will be extended to new professions such as teachers, nurses, philanthropists, and content creators as well.
- A Humanitarian Resident Permit for people affected by natural calamities, war, and civil war has been launched. This permit does not require sponsorship.
The visa renewal charges for individuals start from AED 2,700. Renewal of the Emirates ID and medical fitness tests is mandatory for the residence visa renewal in 2026.
UAE Visa Renewal 2026 – Process
The authority had earlier extended the visa renewal deadline for stranded residents. Residents whose visas expired while outside the country on or after 28th February 2026 were allowed to return until 31st March 2026 without fines.

- Fines/penalties are effective automatically after the grace period.
